2XL Powerlifting Partners with the Autism Society of Illinois

2XL Powerlifting LLC announces its partnership with the Autism Society of Illinois with the 2XL Autism Strong program. The program has been created by Eric Stone, CSCS, who has over a decade of experience working with children, teens and adults on the autism spectrum, and Howard W Penrose, Ph.D., CMRP, past ASI board member. The focus of the program is to improve coordination, endurance, strength and body composition through structured exercise sessions.
Mary Kay Betz is the Executive Director of the Autism Society of Illinois and Dr. Penrose, Managing Partner of 2XL Powerlifting LLC, along with co-owners Eric Stone and Joe Atef, brought the program together to provide a bridge between the powerlifting/strongman/strength sports community and the autism community.
“It is our intention,” stated Dr. Penrose, “to support families with members in the autism spectrum and those it effects.”
2XL Powerlifting LLC has pledged a percentage of all proceeds related to autism programs, coordinating several fundraising events, and coordinating manpower and support for ASI events from the strength community. 2XL Powerlifting is located at 8 Yorktown Convenience Center, Lombard, Illinois.
